My trip to “Universal Studios” - Spring Break 2024

 


On March 30th 2024, I experienced Universal Studios for the first time. My parents and I drove to Universal Studios from our airbnb. It was 48 minutes and we got there early so we could do all the rides. The parking lot had very smart and humorous labels based on characters. We were in the King Kong slot 🙂. 

As we were walking towards the park, I saw the iconic Universal ball. We definitely took many pictures there. The park had so many decorations, sound & TV effects. I went on so many rides. I went on the Revenge of the Mummy, Minion Mayhem, Villain Con, Racing through New York starring Jimmy Falon, Hogwarts Express- King’s Cross Station, The amazing adventures of Spiderman and Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge- Rat Barges. I had so much fun. 

I would not ride the Revenge of the Mummy again because it was way too intense for me especially this being my first time. It may have scarred me for life. LOL. All of these rides were in 2 different parks in Universal. I also enjoyed the Butterbeer drink at Hogwarts. It’s a very popular drink Harry Potter fans know about. It is not actual beer. It’s root beer that has whipped cream on the top. 

Interesting fact: Did you know that Harry Potter drank his first Butterbeer during the welcoming feast. 

I also enjoyed some green popcorn that was from the Marvel area in the park. The green is supposed to represent the incredible hulk. To remember this awesome experience, my parents bought me many souvenirs to keep as a memory. I got two Universal studio magnets and I also got Hermione Granger’s wand. 

Some of the interesting things I observed in the park were that they tested the rides before putting people in them. I think it is really smart and safe. I also noticed that the buildings were so realistic and they looked brand new. Especially this park being built in 1912. They did some remodeling to make it look this good. There was also live music at the park which was so cool. 

By the end of the day, I was so tired and couldn't feel my legs at all. I really enjoyed my very first trip to Universal Studios. I hope to visit again and explore more parks and rides. This is an awesome place for your family to go for a day of fun and adventures. I really enjoyed spring break 2024.

  In my school, 5th graders get to go to an awesome place called J.A biz town. This is a place where we get to learn about jobs in the real world and get to experience them. These are some companies that provide job experiences at J.A biz town: Swaco, Donatos, Meta and Huntington Bank. As part of this experience, the 5th graders have to choose a mayor of the town. When I heard about this opportunity, I was extremely excited and wanted to run for mayor. There were 2 elections, class election and grade election. I had a few days to prepare a speech. We all had to present a speech to the entire grade of 125 students. All the candidates did a great job. Life lessons in the pool: Swimming my way to success!

    Every lap is a lesson overcoming challenges. Every race, a chapter in the ongoing narrative of self-discovery. Hello readers, today I am going to be sharing my 5 lessons that I learnt through my 2024 long course swimming season. 1. Mental preparation I struggled to grasp the concept of mental preparation. To me, it meant strategizing about my upcoming swim meet, focusing on potential time drops, and developing race plans. Previously, I only started preparing 2 days before a competition, relying on my dad's reminders about stretching and tracking my times. Unfortunately, my last swim meet resulted in slower times across four events, mainly due to lack of mental preparation. This taught me that you have to think, revise, change your strategies. 2. Unforgettable weekend at the Smoky Mountains

    On July 27, 2024, my parents and I embarked on an exciting vacation to the Smoky Mountains. Our journey began with a six-hour drive from our home in Columbus to the beautiful town of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. As we ascended into the higher elevation of Tennessee, I could feel my ears popping due to the change in altitude. We stayed at a delightful Airbnb nestled on a sloping hillside. The highlight of the rental was the hot tub, which offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. There was a pool table as well which my dad & I played a couple of rounds as well. Our vacation was filled with adventure. We embarked on a couple of exhilarating outdoor pursuits: hiking and white water rafting. The white water rafting experience was undoubtedly my favorite.
